Dangerous substances
Dangerous substances are substances that can endanger your safety, your health and the environment. University Medical Centres frequently work with dangerous substances. Examples include cleaners and disinfectants, chemicals in the laboratory, glue in the technical department, certain healthcare medication and cryogenic (cold) gases in the X-ray department.
It is not only about the use of dangerous substances, but also about their transport, storage and waste processing. On this website you can find what you can do to work in a safe and healthy manner with dangerous substances and how your OHS advisor, the UMCs and the government help you with this. The information on this website is general. Every UMC formulates its own additional policy based on local laws and regulations.
More information can be obtained from your UMC's OHS advisor.
