Interpretation by employers and employees
The government leaves it to the sectors to interpret the general regulations and to lay down bespoke agreements in a so-called OHS catalogue. For the UMCs, the employers, together with employee organisations, have drawn up an OHS catalogue. The information on dangerous substances on this website is based on the OHS Catalogue which has been approved by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment. The Health and Safety Inspectorate checks periodically whether the UMCs comply with the agreements in the OHS catalogue.
